The Infinite Control Switch allows you to manually adjust the temperature. Also comes with attached analog pyrometer to see what the interior kiln temperature is. This kiln holds the heat very consistanty, but ramping down to properly anneal your beads is time consuming. Simply shutting off your annealer may produce beads that do not crack, but a drop in temperature that does not exceed 150 degrees per hour is necessary for scientifically annealled beads.

Chili Pepper Kilns that are especially made for use outside the United States do not qualify for sale pricing. They require special wiring in the “inner workings” of the kiln and a customized cord to fit your country’s receptacle (i.e. electrical outlet).

The procedure for ordering a kiln for use in your country involves a few extra steps:
1) A photo of the wall receptacle into which your kiln will be plugged is required by the manufacturer. This ensures that the correct cord and plug is assembled on your kiln to meet your needs. The photo may be supplied to us via email in a jpeg (sales@Heritageglass.com) or you can fax a tracing of the shape of the wall receptacle to 830-626-3946. It will take approximately 2-4 weeks for the kiln to be manufactured after we receive the receptacle image and your complete order.
2) Place your order with us here. If you are aware of any information that would aid us in shipping to your particular country, or if you have a preference for a particular carrier, you may include that in the comments section after you have placed your order.
3) Once we have received your order and we are able to confirm that the correct cord/plug is available, we will calculate your shipping costs. Some countries have size limits for boxes being sent through the postal service and these countries will require that we ship using UPS or DSL. The Chili Pepper will come double boxed to protect it during transit.
4) We will confirm the expected shipping cost with you before ordering your kiln for production and full payment for the kiln & estimated shipping will be required at that time. Cost of $695 (does not include shipping estimate).

Paragon BlueBird XL

The Paragon BlueBird XL is a dream kiln for the glass bead enthusiast. It safely anneals the glass to prevent breakage during cooling. You can also fuse glass in this large, 20” wide x 9” deep versatile kiln. The BlueBird XL easily reaches fusing temperatures.

Paragon SC2-BD

The digital SC-2 Silver & Glass Kiln fires silver clay, decals, china paint, enameling, and glass in minutes up to 2000°F. The SC-2 with Bead Door is popular with multi-purpose users & seminar teachers because it fires fast, plugs into a standard 120 volt household outlet & offers versatility.

Paragon has just redesigned this kiln for improved heat distribution. The new design has two separate heating elements in the left and right sides of the firing chamber. The back of the chamber has no element. Extensive testing shows that the heat distribution in the new SC-2 is more even throughout the firing chamber, because heat does not build up in the back of the kiln.

The SC-2 has been in production since 1997. It is a proven design that we have steadily refined every year. Thousands of artists in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Japan love their SC-2.

The SC-2, for a digital kiln, is surprisingly affordable. It fires automatically at the rate and temperature you enter. A large, brightly lit display prompts for firing rate, temperature and hold time. Use the hold feature to automatically soak any type of clay silver to its recommended time.

The 6 1/2” wide bead door includes a brushed stainless steel mandrel holder. The high-tech ceramic fiber firing chamber is wrapped in a steel inner case. The outer steel case remains cool due to the layer of air between it and the inner case. In addition, the case is slotted for air circulation. Electrical components, located in the base, stay cool even at extended hold times.

If you should purchase an annealer that has an Infinite Control switch (no programmer) and later decide to upgrade to the convenience of digital controlling, now you can! The remote controller can be used for the Chili Pepper, or many other brands & types of kilns.

Simply plug your kiln into the controller box and plug that into the wall. Can be used on any 120 volt kiln. We must know how many amps your kiln is when you order. If your kiln has any other than a standard grounded plug, we need to have an image of the kiln plug (usually with 220 kilns)so the programmer can be made properly for your kiln.
